It is a ten-storeyed building with 413 rooms for 700 guests. The hotel is conveniently situated in the respectable Moskovsky district close to the Park Pobedy metro station and not far away from Pulkovo Airport. It takes only 20 minutes by taxi or by metro to get to the city centre from the hotel.

The Russia Hotel was built in 1962 just a few steps away from Moskovsky Prospekt. It harmonizes with the architectural ensemble of Chernyshevsky Square. It is important to note that the hotel is situated not in Moskovsky Prospekt, one of the busiest avenues of Saint-Petersburg, but in the green and quiet Chernyshevsky Square, so you won’t be disturbed by the noise of the city, unlike in many hotels situated in the historic centre of Saint-Petersburg. In 2000 the Russia Hotel was put out to tender. The result of it was acceptance of an investment programme due to which the hotel rooms were refurbished, new services became available and the hotel got a three-star certificate. Also, the Russia Hotel joined the Best Eastern Hotels project (the best hotels of Russia, CIS and the Baltic states).

The hotel is situated close to Moskovsky Prospekt, one of the most important city arteries. It allows you to get to any place of Saint-Petersburg in next to no time. It takes:

• 5 minutes to get to the Park Pobedy metro station (the hotel is 200 metres away from it);
• 20 minutes by taxi or by car to get to Nevsky Prospekt (the city centre);
• 20 minutes to get to the airport and railway stations;
• 30-45 minutes by coach to get to Saint-Petersburg suburbs (Tsarskoye Selo/Pushkin, Petrodvorets, Pavlovsk).

Conference centre

The Russia Hotel conference centre has 8 conference rooms equipped with the modern audio-visual equipment (multimedia, simultaneous interpreting system, sound amplification system) and a meeting room. The conference rooms accommodate from 10 to 243 people. There are 5 flexible conference rooms accommodating from 30 to 120 people.

Also, there is a copy centre (colour/ black and white photocopying, laminating, binding, risography, PC hire, the Internet, etc.) in the hotel conference centre.

Conference rooms:

The Petrovsky Room - This space is non-flexible. The conference room has 275 square metres of floor space and accommodates 243 people. It can be arranged in any style to meet your needs. The conference room contains a stage, rostrum, microphone system, multimedia projector and simultaneous interpreting. This conference room can be used for holding a conference, exhibition, presentation, concert, banquet, coffee break, etc.

The Yekaterininsky Room - This space is non-flexible. The conference room is used for holding exhibitions, presentations, banquets, coffee breaks, etc. The stage is 80,55 square metres (17,90 metres by 4,9 metres). The ceiling height is 3,6 metres. The conference room is equipped with a plasma display panel, projection screen, multimedia projector, DVD player, VCR, microphones and spotlight system.

5 flexible conference rooms:

The area of the flexible conference rooms can be easily changed due to the sliding roller partitions, all the rooms being acoustic insulated.

Restaurants

The Zolotoe Yabloko Restaurant (The Golden Apple Restaurant) is a stylish restaurant with live music and chef special menu. The restaurant is on the first floor of the Russia Hotel. It seats 120 people. Guests can have meals either in the central restaurant room or on the restaurant balcony.

The Buffet Restaurant Every morning we invite the Russia Hotel guests to the comfortable and light restaurant room situated on the first floor of the hotel to have a buffet breakfast which is served every day from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. We offer our corporate guests catering for tourist groups or events being held in the conference centre. We guarantee top-quality service and a wide choice of dishes and drinks.

Turris Lobby Bar/Cafe is on the first floor of the Russia Hotel and is open twenty four hours a day. At our lobby bar you can have a good time and enjoy a wide choice of coffee, tea, wine and other beverages. Also, we have a delicious homemade pizza on the menu. There is Wi-Fi access available in the lobby bar.

The VIP Restaurant situated on the first floor of the Russia Hotel is a small (seats up to 30 people) but very cosy restaurant, where you can get away from it all and have a good time in a relaxed atmosphere. In our restaurant you can relax after a hard working day, meet with your friends in an intimate atmosphere and taste delicious desserts and ice-cream. The restaurant is open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
